I met Christine two years ago, right as my business began. She found out about me from a mutual friend, Jackie, who had just modeled for me. Christine was looking for one of my then brand new session types, a "Feel Beautiful" shoot. She had lots of reasons to celebrate and felt a photo shoot featuring antique shops and sassy vintage dresses was just the way to do it. :) We had an instant connection then, and I fell in love with Christine's gorgeous face, personality, and heart. She talked a lot about her boyfriend Henry, how they'd been together forever, how she had just finished her masters degree and was buying her first house. We kept in touch over these past years and I was ecstatic when beau Henry proposed! Christine immediately booked me as her wedding photographer (I was honored) and we've been having a blast over the last several months talking wedding details. Their big day will be on May 24, 2014, and will feature lots of DIY projects and a spring garden party theme. I could not be more excited. :)
We met at Christine's alma mater, University of Maryland at College Park, to take their engagement pics. We had a perfect day, complete with blue skies, bright autumn leaves, and just enough crispness in the air for sweaters without coats until the very end. We even had a breathtaking, cloud scattered sunset during their last few pics. Henry was everything I hoped for for Christine and more; he couldn't stop talking about her million dollar smile, how he knew from the very beginning that she was The One, and how special she was. At one point during the shoot, he'd been looking into her eyes and asked me to get a picture from his point of view...he wanted her to see "where he lived"...in her beautiful eyes. MELT! When two people belong together this much, you just want to do your best, and so I was really proud of the photos we got that day.
The e-session was featured on the blog of Christine's awesome wedding planner, and you can see those HERE.
In the meantime, please enjoy some of my favorite shots from the shoot. I will be literally counting down the days until their wedding and praying that I can do it the justice it deserves, because these two people are very dear to me.
Love you guys!
