Engagements with McCall Doyle Photography
You're engaged!!! Let's face it...as far as big events go, this one is right up there. It's so exciting to go from calling your significant other a boyfriend or a girlfriend and get to use the word whose spelling eludes so many...(ahem, a lady is a fiancée and a gentleman is a fiancé)...generally there are tears of joy and a sparkly ring involved...and the wedding planning begins!
And somewhere during this crazy, joyful time, you need to plan for an engagement session. Formal pics of you guys at your best, outside of your wedding day. And when I say formal I don't mean stiff or dressed to the nines (although the latter can be arranged if you'd like!)...images of you both, radiant, having fun with each other. It's also a GREAT opportunity to get to know your photographer. You get a chance to chat, swap life stories, and get comfortable with a camera documenting your love, especially since on the wedding day there are no do-overs. This way, you get to to be silly and relaxed without the pressures of the bi.g day. You also have a chance to know if the photographer you've picked is the one, not just in terms of images but in terms of personality. I love engagement sessions. They're so sweet and silly and romantic.
We can arrange a session at our mutual convenience. We can pick a really simple, lovely outdoor location like a park, or we can do something unusual like a museum or a theatre. We can find something that suits both of you, like a place where you met or enjoy going on dates, hobbies, or we can even do something with a theme. We can plan a short and sweet session (about an hour) or really make a day of it (4 hours)...I'm flexible. I want to make this time one of the best in your life for you, and capture those memories for you to treasure.
Please feel free to enjoy the several engagement sessions I've shot recently by using the pull down menu under "Engagements" and clicking on the name of a couple. I've been incredibly blessed in photographing the nicest, most attractive, most in love couples in the DC Area. I can't WAIT to photograph their weddings!!! :)
